What is the minimum charge to hire a person? We pay our staff a minimum of 4 hours per day for incentive to go to a job.
How much notice do I have to give you to order staff? Usually one days notice for most workers. However, our tradesman are usually in demand so please give as much notice as possible.
How do I pay? Most clients have completed our Credit Account forms and have opened accounts with us for ease of administration. For casual clients, we accept MasterCard and Visa. Please note, all clients must adhere to our Terms and Conditions.
How do you know the hours worked by staff? All of our staff have Carbonised Timesheets that they write the days and hours on. If you agree with the hours, simply sign the Timesheet and give back to the staff. In turn, they will give you the top copy for your records.
Who supervises the workers? Our clients are responsible for the supervision unless previously arranged with NZLH management.
Who provides the tools? Our tradesmen supply all their own tools. Our Labourers do not provide tools, however, we are happy to assist here.
What if a worker is unsuitable? As rare as it is, should we be notified within the first three hours, we will replace the worker at no charge for the previous worker. Please, commonsense prevails. Any complaints will be handled quickly and efficiently by NZLH management.
Who pays the Holiday pay, ACC levies, Statutory Holidays and sick pay? NZLH does. You only have to pay our standard rates supplied.
Do I pay the worker directly? Please, a big NO. Always pay accounts directly to NZLH.
What do I do if the worker has an accident? Contact NZLH immediately, we will collect the worker straight away, after the worker has been taken care of, will come back to you to help fill in an accident report.
Who is responsible for the Health and Safety of the worker/s? All of us. The safety of our workers and clients is paramount to us. All clients are expected to have a safe worksite. NZLH reserves the right to decline workers should we feel site safety is unsuitable. We can also help here if required and are happy to offer free advice.
Do you have overtime rates? Yes, our normal work hours are Monday - Friday 07am to 5pm. Outside these hours, please discuss with NZLH management.
Do you have workers available 7days, 24 hours? Yes, however, all work outside normal office hours has to be pre-arranged, with as much notice as possible to ensure you receive a good selection of staff.
What are your office hours? Monday to Friday 07am to 5pm except Public Holidays.
